Hobbies and Clubs

To keep the students engaged in a constructive manner, host of co-curricular activities like debate, declamation, essay writing, quiz and public speaking are regularly organized apart from the academic curriculum. Music is the food for soul. Children are encouraged to learn any instrument of their choice and get trained in any of the following- Carnatic vocal, Devotional Sloka Recital, Violin, Keyboard, Veena, Drums. Experts are engaged to train the children in their area of interest.

We organize and conduct co-curricular activities, Hobbies and Clubs, Hiking, Trekking, Scouting / Guiding, NCC, Tamil Club, English Club, NSS, Science Club, Social Club.

Knowledge Trips

Visit to local places of historical and academic interests, excursions during short vacations are regular feature to widen the intellectual horizon of our students.

Motivation Classes

Eminent and noble personalities are invited to conduct motivation and awareness classes regularly/periodically. On 23.11.2012 Thiru. C.Sylendrababu, IPS blessed and opened the newly built Auditorium and gave a talk on Individualism, the empowerment of education, eminence of hard work.

We started our school with 600 students and 25 teachers. Now our school is established with 1500 students and 100 teachers. We expect a gathering of nearly 25000 people for the Annual Day function 2013-2014.

Laurels from the Department of Science

On 28.02.2005, P.C. Saranya secured the 1st place in the State level Essay Competition on Science Day.

On the dates of 26, 27.11.2005 in Tanjore in the young scientists conference our students Alagu rani, Anbuselvi, Devi Priyanka Participated.

In 2008, in Namakkal , there was an exhibition on how to teach and learn easily by means of Audio visual method. Our school children participated and secured the first place.

In 2012 Puthia Thalaimurai Journals conducted a competition for the young scientists. Our students secured the 1st place in the state level by exhibiting and operating a lift by using solar power.

Voyage to NASA Space Centre

Every year our students are selected to visit NASA, in the USA for Research Purpose. This helps and motivates the students to join in the Aeronatical Engineering.

A Preliminary Step to Step Trip

A group of 59 members led by our Correspondent Mr. Vetri Chelvan and our Director Mr. K. Chandrasekaran along with students of the bother gender have visited NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). The Kennedy Space Centre Florida, U.S.A.

They stayed at Kennedy Space center for 5 days and learnt about the Rocket Technology, Satellite, Space Shuttle and its launching techniques and received complete information about the international space station. The team had a long discussion with the famous Astronaut Mr. James Reilly and got a very good training experience. Our students received the training certificates issued by the NASA. After Visiting Orlando, Miami and New York City, the team returned to India triumphantly and they were welcomed by the Founder, Chairman, Directors, Teachers and the students of Vetri Vikaas Educational.


Every year our students go for Trekking arranged by the Forests Department of India in the Dense Forest with utmost safety measures.

Inter-house activities

The student community is divided into four houses - Rose, Jasmine, Daisy and Lotus. At the head of each House are two House Captains, a boy and a girl. Members of the staff act as house wardens who look after the general progress of their students in games and sports and co-curricular activities. Since all competitions are held on house basis, house loyalties are the strongest. A regular record of student participation and achievements in House Activities is maintained and points are awarded to each House.

Scouting / Guiding

In 2005 October R. Vinotha and S.P. Anitha of X standard participated in the scouts in the 15th National Jampuri in Haridwar, Utharanjal. In 2004 – 2005 Rajya puraskar award was falicitated by His Grace Surjitsing Barnala, Governer of TamilNadu.
